Oh wow, I've only been dipping my toes back into Mastodon these couple of days but it has a really detrimental effect on my mental health and I think I should stay off Social Media a while longer.
I came back because I miss the whimsy that Mastodon can harbour but it is mixed up with so much rage and sadness that I just can't handle right now.

It's not like the rage and sadness is baseless — there is plenty of reason to be angry and sad right now. But I'm not in a good place in my personal life and immersing myself in the negative emotions of other people on top of my own is amplifying very dark thoughts.
I have to function in my everyday life and Social Media isn't helping.

I'll be back when I find myself in a better place. I'll miss you. Don't forget me. ❤️
