A reminder that AI detection tools suck.

The first code was written before LLMs even existed, yet it claims it's almost certainly AI.

The second code is the defacto "hello world" that every programmer learns when starting a new language.

@bnk is that a joke? AI code is minimalistic? The thing that puts comments in everything and adds more unnecessary steps that MC Escher? That is minimalistic???

@nickynah What I meant was that AI detection tools for code don't work because there's no easy patterns to recognise AI other than unused / redundant variables and the code not working.

Some coders add comments, some don't. Some have a clean layout, some have a messy one. Some slip up and make a bad code snippet, some optimise beyond necessity.

And AI does all and none of these things at different times.
