I've got a bunch of fun projects to share soon, here's the first: "Forever Peanuts."

Styrofoam peanuts never do seem to go away, do they? So I thought it would be nice to make them even more permanent.

I melted E-waste hard drive cases and household waste to make these lost-foam aluminum peanuts during our last Otis Street Arts Project aluminum pour.

They will debut in "Future Finds" at Bathers Library in Oakland CA, opening 1/17 5-8PM. https://futurefinds.cargo.site/

@combs I hope they will be well-protected in shipping!
@Moss I can tell you what will NOT be used to pack them πŸ˜€
@combs what did you use as investment or a shell?
@smellsofbikes A fine sand. It was a group pour, so I'm not sure of the exact type
@combs now is your forever peanut like a slice of infinite pizza?
@combs reminds me in some ways of delightful plaster casts of dirty gym socks that an artist left on the floor in corners of her home

@combs

Different but reminding me of Nancy Pearce's bronzes. I own one of hers

And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing else but packing peanuts remain.
