On that same visit we had to cross Via di San Venanzio to get to Piazza Venezia. If you know it, there's relentless traffic and no one stops for you. You just have to go. My friends darting and stopping, trying not to get hit, is a funny memory in hindsight, but harrowing in the moment. Ah, #Roma.
