Slightly edited using #AffinityPhoto: It has a nice relighting feature but that can quickly make your image look as if you're shining light on a sheet of paper. My technique was to relight a duplicate of the photo and merge it using the soft light blend mode. That not only boosts contrast but also adds some vignetting to the image that you can direct and tint using the fake light source.
