@bright_helpings Now this is absolutely wonderful news—I do a lot of footnoting when I write stuff like this and if they weren’t accessible I’d have to cobble together some alternative structure. It’s good to know I can call off those particular jets.

As much as I like reading Defector—and I do, they’re my usual lunch read at work—I find that their style lends itself to bandwagoning on whatever opinion becomes popular among online sports progs. Obviously I’ll take that over the alternative, but sometimes it’s hard not to wonder what took them so long.

@nsmckinnon Since I refuse to have anything to do with bluesky and only like the least cool sport played professionally in the americas, I am sufficiently cut off from sports culture these days that this probably doesn't bother me as much as it should :)
