There are many stories about 'a weakened Hezbollah'.

Have we considered literally all other militant groups in the middle east, Sunni/Shia or otherwise, who now sympathise with Iran simply because it's America and Israel?

They don't even need direct patronage from Iran to join the long war. They just need time.

None of this is getting resolved with air power.

At Temu prices, combined with the proliferation of arms by successive American invasions in the region, the starter-pack for causing mayhem is inflation resilient.

It's very conceivable that the near future is one of multiple small fronts simmering for another big fight when these powers rearm again.

Hezbollah are Lebanese. Their portrayal in the media these days would make one think that they're some alien force that Iran cooked up in a mountain basement.
