'Re: [patch] ext4fs rw' - MARC

@justine

I felt relieved when I saw it 😆

@justine That one reference in the discussion about extracting almost entire copyrighted books is staggering. How can these things be considered by "industry" to be anything other than plagiarism machines, or, as the "intellectual property" (nauseating description) industry puts it when chasing individual people, theft.

@justine Indeed! I've been ridiculed by "AI" bros who insist I must be insane and stupid because I feel strongly that "AI" has no place in open source development. I feel the same way as Theo and Kirill and Renaud in that discussion, and it's refreshing to see that my opinion is in line with those esteemed developers.

Fuck "AI" bros, and the plagiarized garbage they peddle!

@justine #OpenBSD has always been my "hobby" OS as I love how simple and well-built it is. AI, age verification, and the general corporatisation of Linux (not a word, but I'm using it anyway 😁 ) are really giving me the push to start moving my serious infrastructure to it (OpenBSD, that is...)
@justine I like the whole discussion thread for being something else that just "ideological fuck AI".

@justine

I am excited to see this discussion openly happening. I have long known OpenBSD's stance on ai, and it's really nice to see it taking a step towards becoming an official statement from the project.
