The pup was only here for a long overnight stay, he left last night. At least that meant the GP could cone back in for the night due to the freezing temperatures.
Must dash off to breakfast out.

Freezing? Our heating hasn't come on for days as it's "so warm" 🥵 Mind you, the house is A rated for efficiency so that might help.

Sadly our house is a bit leaky heatwise, but it's infinitely better than it was when we moved in.
We've had breakfast out, taken the children for swimming lessons and been out to Southampton for them to bounce a bit.
Off home now for a meal out and getting the children into bed.

Kids had a good time, us less so. MrsSP complained about them requiring branded socks instead of the ones we had from another event at a similar place.
The meal was okay, but the service was really slow and a couple of the children's meals were cold. Decided that we won't be going back there again as there were a few other things that let it down.
Sorry about the moaning, not something I really do.

Did the kids need branded sock to go bouncing? (Trampolines? Bouncy Castle?) Seems a bit over the top! Surely "normal socks apply"

Yes, that was branded socks yo do bouncing on the trampolines, soft play and other equipment. The ones we had with us were identical apart from the colour and branding. At least they enjoyed themselves, especially our granddaughter, who has only been walking a month or so. She coped with the bouncy walkway perfectly.

@Steampunk_Prof Sounds a bit like cashing in to me! I wonder if they'll make you pay for new socks if you turn up again with those ones?
Your grand daughter is probably walking better than I am today. Knee won't lock out properly. Even standing still it folds like the dog poked me on the back of my knee with his nose. Which he usually does!
I doubt we'll see aurora tonight, cloudy now and rain in the afternoon and night. 😕
