going to spend some time in a mostly advisory role helping alpine rebuild the TSC and security team.

as always, everything on my account is just my *personal opinion*. my *personal opinions* on this matter are as follows:

in general, i am at a point in my life where i just want stability and reliability from alpine, but otherwise i want to focus on new stuff. plus, the new kids are alright, you know?

my goal is to get both of these functions working to a point where i don't have to worry about them ever again.

as an aside, it is interesting to be in a state in my life where i am not really the engineer in the trenches so much anymore.

as an experientialist, this has been a bit of a jarring realization for me. 🙃

@ariadne as an aside, any tips for navigating the job market if you’re at this point? It sorta snuck up on me, and I’m finding it hard to find any place I can join as the expert leader/mentor (these all seem to be either equity only positions or only really available for internal promotions… and I can’t work for solely equity right now due to $life_circumstances).

I guess I could author (in anger) some libraries I wished existed as a starting point.
