It looks spartan and severe.

It's thought provoking.

It's asking questions.

It's asking us to inspect our own lives and realise that we all have a lot to be grateful for.

It wants us to consider why the little girl is staring at the floor, why does she look so sad?

Is she alone in the world? Have her parents been killed in yet another pointless war about greed?

Does she yearn for freedom in a crushing, totalitarian state?

How big are those slices of bread?

It's asking these questions and many more.

But really, that little girl is being chastised by her mother for getting crumbs all over the place again and using the tablecloth as a headscarf in another, derisory game of 'let's act like Mummy'.

"Oooo, look at me, I'm Mummy....ooo....clean up things....put that down...stop poking the dog......where's my valium?"

But the little girl is oblivious to her mother's lecture because she is playing 'Donkey Kong' on a GameBoy underneath the table
