@ayoub.bsky.social Budget? There is no more budget. The CO2 we're emitting today is most likely more than enough to get us over +2°C in the 2030s. We're so far over budget that we're not going to avoid major global disruptions even if we somehow managed to get out of fossil fuels completely by tomorrow. The Industrial Age will end, the world as we know it will simply cease to function any longer at some point. Things will get chaotic and unreliable, things will be breaking faster than we can fix them.
