JP@pl @jwz i've seen this group's posters around my neighborhood and while i think they're genuine, their objectives and rhetoric are very "criti-hype" - they talk about "superhuman AI" and existential risk, which makes them sound like rationalist doomers rather than skeptics. if that is indeed their orientation i don't think they'll make good allies.
