You might not be seeing this stuff online, but every time I go for a drive in my rural area in the U.S., there are crowds of protestors. I'm talking about small town farming communities, and they're getting a whole lot of support from the traffic passing by. Nobody likes what's happening here. At this point, I don't even think the most die hard followers like any of this.
@darkwolf I saw the same in the very small rural town I live near today. Very proud of that.
@darkwolf i live in rural Indiana and i can tell you without a doubt, from listening to the vanilla christian farmers eat their fucking flapjacks and yell at the tv at the diner, from the guy boarding up his house to prepare for civil war down the road to the shitty family with confederate flag flying in front of their house next to mine...you are mistaken
@brotherpsyche Yeah, I suppose "nobody" is hyperbolic. There'll always be scumbags. I do see a big shift happening, though.

@brotherpsyche @darkwolf Your anecdotal evidence notwithstanding, there are facts here that are indisputable.

Donald's candidates have lost every election in 2025 and 2026, in both red and blue states, and mostly in districts he won by double digits in 2024.

There will always be assholes, but we can state empirically that Donald's political choices are wildly unpopular because he's losing elections.

Hell, they can't even gerrymander anymore. That's how much they've angered voters.

@darkwolf

I used to bicycle past a house that still had the traitor and vp names sign still up. It was gone yesterday.

@cainmark @darkwolf Donald confused the popularity of his affordability message in the campaign with support for a new Gestapo.

And it's going to cost him big in November and likely neuter his presidency.

The problem though, is this Democratic Party doesn't really oppose anything, and we the voters have no choice but to hope they do when they take or split Congress.
