@atpfm Mind blown. @marcoarment I missed why you didn’t just continue using the MacMiniColo type companies… just to make it cheaper in the long run if you can do it yourself?
Beyond the cool tech functionality is there any ROI for the capex investment of the Mac Minis? Doesn’t seem your style but did you think of a B2B type thing where you provide an API for other podcast players to ask for a transcript and pay you for it?
@chrispoole @atpfm Doing my own colo was much cheaper once I crossed a certain number of Mac Minis.
Hosting is Overcast's biggest expense, so I take on hosting costs very carefully.
@marcoarment @chrispoole @atpfm also, it must support Spanish in some flavor? There are a lot of them, but there are two distinct flavors of PT as well.
The Apple folks *love it* when you support Dutch for some reason. Do it right away when you can, then you'll be featured and stuff.
Also, the app itself is not localized (Callsheet is, ask Casey). This doesn't matter for Dutch users, because they all speak perfect English. Spanish and Portuguese might be worth it, though.
