Today, I went into a cafe that... how to describe it. White marble and gilded fake gold accents so the cafe looks like a Mar-a-Lago toilet. It was "fake comfortable", with largely uncomfortable chairs, except for a couple of leather couches in strategic locations - "offering" comfort without welcome. A flat-screen television was on... playing a worse-than-Fox conservative news channel. The coffee options were not quality; most were flavored coffee, and the "blend" was overroasted and flavorless.
