@HoosLeft Anyone wondering "why should I care about the (D) primary in this safe district?" should know that Carson appears to have only two recurrent issues--food deserts and Muslim recognition--over his 10 terms, and does not appear to be very effective at getting any legislation, or even resolutions, passed.
Safe districts can't be seat fillers. Those are the seats that can afford to take risks. Carson hasn't.
