With its military depleted and overmatched, Iran is trying to make the conflict too politically combustible — and too expensive — for Washington to sustain.
They know that Trump, the total narcissist, has seduced himself into a state of hollow-minded ignorance and they will outthink/outmaneuver him. It might be to the point of his doing something stupid, like launching ground troops. and imposing interminable costs. GOP in Congress should rope the dope before all croak.
