My wife asked that I setup a playlist that plays meditation/spa music throughout the house during the day. Key is that it has to be soft, nothing with flutes, and nothing really too noticeable (since it plays for 12 hours daily).

I'm going to review some MMO soundtracks and see what I can sneak into the playlist. I think some of the Cantha stuff from #GuildWars may work.

@kevinbrill Just out of curiosity why no flutes?
@rogeredwards They end up being really noticeable. That may be a byproduct of meditation music flutes being pan flutes. Which really jump out of the soundscape.
@kevinbrill Thank for the clarification. I was thinking along the line of a strong aversion to the flute based instrumental break in California Dreaming or the Barnaby Jones TV theme tune.

@rogeredwards :) It really is all about setting a calm soundscape. So I try to tap down anything really prevalent.

For a while we had Moby's "Long Ambients" album as part of the rotation, but I had to remove it. Several tracks ended up sound like a low rumble for 40 minutes and it was really disconcerting.

@kevinbrill It's quite an art then.
@rogeredwards Most certainly! And since we source all the music locally it’s a little more challenging than turning on Ambient Chill in Apple Music.
