see, we could do that. Government subsidized supergroup? Free concerts, obviously. more free concerts is more good for everybody. Free concerts are great, people will still stop in at spots aroind the venue, theres still money for caterers, vfx, security, transit, tourism/accomodations, etc. Theres a lot of economic juice in free concerts

Waaay back in the day, Victoria BC, used to host summer time free jazz concerts in Beacon Hill Park--we brought blankets to sit upon and kids were welcome.

@SnowyCA There are still free concerts all over southern Ontario especially in the summer, and plenty of festivals that don't cost a fortune, they're great for getting people to show up and put artists on the map, and obviously it sells a lot of booze and food too. These things are just smart, everybody loves em
