ci3002Prebunking shifts media literacy from reactive to proactive, which I feel is a more effective means of combating fake news and misinformation. Educating people about fake news and how to spot it helps to stop it at the source rather than backtrack. It's similar to how, once toothpaste is out of the tube, you can't put it back. It is easy to see something online and share it with friends without fact checking. Education may help people think twice before accidentally spreading false information. #so315
