Turns out "if your entire release process is public *and* pull requests allow anonymous entities to run their code through that middle process – all projects are 0wnable
@stevel @campuscodi I won't debate that, but please give equal credit to the observation that closed source means the complete absence of outside pressure for hygiene. And not just the ones where VC pressure caused the corporate conscience to be let go, but also the well meaning "we've always done it like that" crowd. Quality more often than not is a cost center.
