Trying to get a vacuum to rejoin an open WiFi network. Hold 2 buttons for 5 seconds; not 10 or it will factory reset! Phone app does a Bluetooth scan for devices. Retry scan. Retry scan. Toggle Bluetooth on phone. Toggle WiFi on phone. 5 seconds on buttons again. Device found! Scanning for WiFi x3. No networks found. Manually enter SSID. Attach failed. Buttons, scanning, wifi scanning, network found, network joined. 20 minutes of life gone. How do normal humans survive this?
@bd808 I took damage from the sentence "Trying to get a vacuum to rejoin an open WiFi network"
@theresnotime I discovered the value of robot vacuums during lockdown when the nice humans I pay to clean up my messes wouldn’t come to visit. First world problems, but my house is too big and my dog is too proficient at shedding to go back to only getting a professional floor cleaning every other week.
@bd808 our robot hoover is incredibly good at finding cables I've left out, eating them, and then sending a notification to our phones that it's stuck and needs help
@theresnotime This newest one I have has a really low bumper that seems to help keep it from eating cords. I only send it to my office once a week too to minimize unwanted entanglement opportunities.
