Recently, a proposal has been made to implement an API for a new California censorship regulation, "On the unfortunate need for an "age verification" API for legal compliance reasons in some U.S. states" by Aaron Rainbolt. @jwz I want to fork and maintain a Linux distro approximately as much as I want to learn how to do my own dentistry at home using only supplies I can find in my junk drawer, and yet *here we are.* I'm going to hold out hope for now that Debian does the right thing here and rejects censorship (as it has done for the last 27 years I've been using it).
