Trying to use #osmand but the navigation is totally opaque (no progress indicator? lots of ui struggle), then for bike directions it wants to send me across Ross Island bridge (4x 45mph car lanes, f'n ODOT) when tilikum is right there, but later 9th over a hill and through the park instead of Williams or 7th 😕

@enobacon the thing I like about Pointz is the stress slider on the app. Normally, I can tolerate some traffic stress, but not always. Sliding to "less stressful" renavigates to different options.

The underlying problem is the lack of (or inconsistent use of) accurate stress indicators in OSM descriptions. A secondary thing, imo, is the importance of one bad intersection in an otherwise nice route. It may be less than 1% of the total route distance, but I'd rather not die.

@footsteps yeah I've developed a number of subtle hacks that require getting on the left sidewalk to cross a certain intersection or some very timing-dependent approaches to traffic signals on a stroad. I don't like that it churns silently calculating instead of showing multiple options (I guess it's calculating offline?
