I was inspired to try something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, combining paper and embroidery.

A friend of mine invited me to her birthday party next weekend so I made this card for her, I think it turned out pretty nice, especially for a first try! I tried to recreate the minimalist style of cards that are often found in indie book stores etc at the moment, at least around here

Ich war inspiriert was auszuprobieren was ich schon länger mal machen wollte, und zwar Basteln und Sticken zu kombinieren.

Eine befreundete Person hat mich zu ihrer Geburtstagsfeier nächstes Wochenende eingeladen, und ich hab ihr jetzt diese Karte gemacht, ich finde für einen ersten Versuch ist es echt gut geworden! Ich hab versucht den Stil zu imitieren der zur Zeit viel auf Karten in unabhängigen Buchhandlungen etc zu sehen ist, zumindest hier in der Gegend

@luce That's a really cool card. Last year we received a Christmas card where the sleigh was outlined with thread. I saved it with the idea to try something like that myself.

Did you just poke your needle through with each stitch or use an awl first to make the holes?

@jendefer Thank you :) I used a bigger needle first to make the holes, I don’t have an awl but I used a thimble and with that it worked quite well
