waddle_deeI wish I could see a Tit. Any kind. I only ever see Jays, Cardinals, Wrens, Robins, etc. I heard a barn owl and got excited. I get no birds in the city ðŸ˜
Chickadees are basically tits, so are tufted titmice.
Here, I rearly see a Jay and have never seen a Cardinal. I wold love to see a Northern cardinal one day, but I’m grateful for the birds I have in my area. And I don’t need to be far from the city to see more then pigeons. I saw a kingfisher the other day in a suburban part of my city where I never expected such a beauty. He literally flew through the residents gardens.
With that selection, I’m surprised there’s no tits as they fill an obvious niche. The will need a bit of greenery though (just a private garden should do). Have you tried getting a bird feeder? Otherwise find a city park.
Okay, so I do have Carolina Chickadees, quite a few, actually. I feed them from my garden with various native trees and shrubs. The tufted titmouse has eluded me though. They’re the tit I’m really after, as I’d love to see that crest in real life.
