Doing my taxes so gotta have my HP RPN calculator out (32s). It's the one on my desk so it's my go-to anyway but for some reason, an RPN calculator from the 80s always feels somehow *more* appropriate for financial calculations
@bettio In this particular instance a combination of nostalgia, monitor space, and physical buttons (laptop doesn't have 10key) and not doing this fully manually - I use a tax prep service now so it's more one-off verifications to put into a box and move on.
A spreadsheet is probably the *better* tool, especially if I wanted a more long term record of the calculations.
