A Windows 10 update finally got me! Typically, I don't update until I've waited to see if it breaks things for others. But I broke my rule...

I grabbed the March update soon after release. Like a dummy, I did it on 3 of my main workstations. Well, over the past week I've had random applications just silently close on all 3 PCs!! Nothing in the event log, no prompts to save my work, nothing - window just closes silently, right in the middle of my work. The process is kicked out of memory, and restarting the app, like a browser, prompts to restore tabs. I've never seen such a bug before.

Turns out, some Googling around and I learn the update causes this exact issue for some people.

EDIT: No issues on any system since getting rid of that update the other day.

@Lydie This happens on my work computer all the time. It is Windows 11, but I swear every time I go to lunch when I return Teams has closed and re-opened on its own.
@Snozzedandlost Guess I'm not alone! I haven't had an app close since ditching the March update. StopUpdates10 is your friend
@Lydie It being a work computer I am not really allowed to do things like refuse updates (or I wouldn’t be on W11). I don’t care that much. None if my personal computers have Windows so outside of that it doesn’t affect me that much.
