@src tbh 2 is better than 3 aside from a few things.
The vibes and idols and dlc are really good in 2 but the PvE salmon run isn't available as often.
but 3 feels like a disappointing sequel with some improvements

@SMNFXCN interesting,, im still yet to finish octo expansion which is something i want to do soon! but im still pretty hyped to get the game soon, but idk anything about the game so far so im hoping its not too disappointing or anything, it seems fun from the tiktoks ive seen of it

@src I could go on for hours how disappointing 3 is even tho it is actually fine. It's just mainly the maps being less fun and more competitive, weapon kits being less fun and more balanced, player matchmaking being at an all time low, etc. the idols are more cultural this time around which is interesting but they don't have much staying power and get overshadowed by both the squid sister and off the hook from splat 1/2 respectively.
Octo Expansion is very very good I cannot get over it ngl. In a way I miss it, cuz while 3's dlc is great and sorta is a continuation of OE it doesn't reach the same heights

@src still also has map rotation issues like having to wait for specific maps you actually like to play and ranked modes also rotating. Not much can be done with a dwindling playerbase and netcode issues

@SMNFXCN im really interested in the idols, because they are honestly one of my favorite parts of the game, but at least if i dislike how the maps and stuff are on 3 i can always go back to 2, theres still a good amount of people to play! also im excited to try out 3s dlc when i get it, but also, hows the music like in 3? splatoon music is the most special part of the game to me so im really hoping its pretty good in 3

@src I find 3's music a bit forgettable in multiplayer but the single player stuff is better
But I think 2's music was a lot more memorable. Not sure why

@SMNFXCN ah i see i see, imo 2 feels a bit forgettable as well at least compared to 1 (nothing will ever beat that music,,,) EXCEPT for 2s losing music! that one is pretty nice!
