I own a microwave. Lots of things are made worse by putting them in the microwave. It's great at boiling water and ok at thawing frozen meat.

Some people do lots of cooking with a microwave. I just use it for the tasks that I think it can do without compromising the experience of my meal.

I can't taste a difference in my baked treat because I softenend the butter in the microwave.
