It’s simply not true.
(And yes, like with anything else humans do, some of it is bad.)

@thomasfuchs The presentations themselves can be as creative and wonderful as any other human art -- which becomes toxic when forced on ppl and at scale. All non-consensual (incl coerced) ads and marketing are bad. Let ppl ASK to be informed about THINGS MANY OF THEM WILL WANT TO BUY! Opt-in showcases are the way.
