@Matthijs85 IIUC, a lot of cases of abuses have (revealed to have) a significant religious component at the root. This is just another indicator of religious obsessive (abusive) control.
A predominant aspect of current religions is that morals cannot exist without it, while exactly religion is typically involved in atrocities.
