Five years ago, everyone was hyped by the blockchain and adjacent technologies (anyone remember smart contracts?). People had the blockchain hammer in their hands and suddenly, everything looked like a blockchain nail. The ones who cried the loudest usually had a very limited picture of the technology and its implications.

Today, it's the same but with a different hammer. People see large language models and treat it as a 100% human replacement. And again, with a very limited view on the tech.
