Beyond that, the damage to both the hard and soft power of the US is immeasurable. Our allies in the Gulf are pissed because their security guarantees from the US have been shown to be worthless; we started a war that they are facing the brunt of, we're utterly failing to protect them, and are proving to be more of a liability than a protector. (3/8)
Our allies in Asia are pissed because we both crashed their economies with no warning due to their huge reliance on Gulf oil AND are now pulling defensive assets from Asia to bolster the supplies we're burning thru in the Gulf, leaving them out to dry. (4/8)
Our allies in Europe are pissed because we've fucked their economies, berated them, risked them dealing with an exponentially larger refugee crisis than with Syria and Yemen, shaken them down constantly over the last year, and are now pissed that they're unwilling to throw their own assets and citizens into a meat grinder of our own creation with no prior warning. (5/8)
On top of that, we've shown our military to be a fucking paper tiger; yea we can bomb shit, but despite our huge military budget we have 0 answer for drones despite having actual knowledge of this new age of warfare through everything going on in Ukraine. We're literally pushing ALL of our allies towards closer alignment with China while simultaneously giving China a front row seat to the limitations of our offensive and defensive capabilities. (6/8)
If they weren't already investing heavily in cheap one way drone tech, they sure as shit are now, and unlike the US, they can actually redirect their military budget effectively rather than throwing another trillion $ towards defense contractors for shit that doesn't work. (7/8)
Jfc, the days of US hegemony are over. This idiot is seriously jeopardizing the USD's status as the world reserve currency. If that happens, that $39 trillion in debt will suddenly actually become a problem and we'll be giga-fucked. All of this for fucking nothing. (8/8)
