@ppatel Very interesting. I'm a bit sceptical, because I think text has unique qualities (it's easy to analyse, to quote, to argue with), and the essay seems to fluctuate a bit between support for multimodality and support for using current systems as vehicles for text. But it's thought-provoking.

@modulux Ah but you don't argue with text. You argue along side text. You can consider it in isolation or examine it. None of that precludes other modalities or other environments from doing the same.
