Every other week, someone manages to find a way to break half of the devices that use the Qualcomm DRM stack, it's crazy how consistently this keeps happening

Are you talking specifically msm.ko, freedreno, or turnip? And on which platform?

Unfortunately, most testing is limited to what chromebooks and Valve are using...

@mupuf I meant msm.ko, especially the code related to MIPI DSI panels with DSC. People regularly change the code to work on some new platform or panel they have, and then it breaks everyone else's. There's just too many different combinations: CMD mode, video mode, C-PHY / D-PHY, DSC or no DSC, DPU with or without a certain feature...

@aelin oh boy... Yeah, anf this display connector is the worst to test for...

Maybe the display has some register we can read to check if the screen is happy, to automate testing? DP receivers have that and more :)
