This is disgusting: water companies have been dumping toxic sewage sludge on UK farms — and turns out it can be packed with microplastics and harmful chemicals. This sludge is polluting our rivers and contaminating the soil that grows our food. Regulators in USA even warn this could pose a cancer risk. We need government to clamp down on this immediately.
