They screwed the pooch, and he's Only asking for $50k? That's in the sofa cushions in marketing and cheaper than the reputation loss they're about to get Streisanded into. I'm certainly not PR (lolol, not) but I would have been all over that with a check and Mea Culpa and greenwash the fuck out of any remaining fall out with "Customers are #1" BS.
Litigation itself isn't expensive... Plead Guilty and pay the fines. That's not even an hour in court.

The reason Disney doesn't want to pay out is Precedent. if that did what I suggest, every litigious asshole would be visiting their parks, playing games (wasting staff time), and trying to get sick but not dead, to get Free Money™ because certain people are petty twots. I see it, and if I do, Mouse Legal sure as hell sees it. And Mouse has fought off much worse.
