In Cold Blood - Truman Capote, nonfiction.
A remarkable book from an incredibly talented writer, but it is showing it's age a little bit.
The 1959 murder of a Kansas farm ranching family and the subsequent travels and actions of the murderers, law enforcement and others touched by the tragedy are well researched and told by Capote.
The ease which the murderers eluded capture back then is truly sobering. They almost got away with it.
