About a year ago, I started making lots of art again.

I was never great at making art and I've always been surrounded by people with art degrees, so at one point my feelings of inadequacy took over and I stopped.

...But I forgot about the joy of creating and experimenting. I still screw things up, but I learn from those screw ups for next time. Or I salvage them.

I've tried a few different art forms since and I enjoy all of them!

So: go try things and make bad art. It will enrich your life ❤️

Arts I've (re-)tried recently, in no particular order, while I wait for my last project to be ready before going to bed 🙃:

Candle-making

Raysin (sort of food safe plaster) pouring
Resin pouring
Jewellery making (bonus: the larger ones are all poured resin or Raysin!)
Making matchbooks (recycled matchbox and some specialty 280 gsm paper)
Découpage (added resin for protection, plate is made with Raysin)
Drawing/painting
Lino-cutting and -printing
Screenprinting
Button-making
Magnet-making
Shrinky dinks (also buttoms and magnets)
Felt craft
(bead) embroidery
Cross stitch
I'm probably forgetting something but I'm tired so I'm going to demold my project and go to bed 🙃
@EchteNachtraaf Goed bezig! Zolang je er zelf plezier in hebt is het toch prima?
Oh yeah bonus - made my own patterns

I'm not trying to say you should spend all your money and try all of the things btw! That's just how I roll.

Initial investment cost for these can vary wildly, but most of these can be done on a budget and I'd be happy to help give tips if you're on a budget and interested in trying one of them.

Go make art! It's so much fun!
