Looking at syncing Sightless Scribbles to a Gemini Protocol. Gave up after a while because of the below reasons.

1. I am profoundly lazy, and really don't want 2 blogs to maintain. I have enough. Nothing I found could sync along with an RSS feed fully. If I push an update because I am using a Static site host, I shouldn't have to copy and paste into the Gemini space.

2. My linking style will never work. Gemini Protocol doesn't do links the way HTML does them. My recommendation posts would become a nightmare because Gemini Protocol doesn't link the way HTML does.

But ultimately, I believe you can still visit Sightless Scribbles from a Gemini browser, so I don't think I'm missing an audience.

#GeminiProtocol #Gemini

@WeirdWriter Aww, but I understand. It is a very different beast which is why I wrote a library for Gemtext but didn't want to maintain two either.
@WeirdWriter But I had to adapt my linking style also, which is why my in paragraph links are clustered and never right about an unordered list. :D
@dmoonfire Smile! You nailed it.

@WeirdWriter Doesn't always feel like it. I ended up spending a year writing a static site generator that works for me (massive cross linking, world building hooks, Gemtext) just so I could put my fiction on Gemini.

So... basically insane effort that was fun because it was a puzzle. I don't get much interaction though and I'm always craving validation. But I also like challenges.

But I can also see why it would be hard. I spent half my life writing text formatters, it's a thing but I have never recommended doing it for others because most haven't had the urge.

Thank you for trying.

@dmoonfire Ah! Say speaking of, care to contribute to this in some way? I don’t know what you could add but https://github.com/stefano-pogliani/AME
