Looking forward to rewatching Starship Troopers.

I remember going to see this with my old buddy Aaron on opening weekend and totally not understanding the satire and camp of the movie.

I rewatched a few years ago and finally got it.

I didn’t get first time either. Almost walked out in the first 20min thinking it was being earnest.

Now, one of my favs even though we seem to be living it.

I think when I was younger I did not get Verhoeven's sense of satire in some of his movies. Most specifically Starship Troopers, Robocop and Total Recall.

Exactly. Took some seasoning to get it. Heck I was in my mid 20s and saw Troopers in the theater with my wife.

I did find $20 in the seat when I got there. Splurged on popcorn and a giant Hi-C pink lemonade.
