Can I get up and move around the next day? Like go walk around and watch my friends run a 5k? What about two days afterwards?

I'm not going to be in a hurry. I'm not going to be lifting running or anything but walking. I can bring my own chair. Can I go do stuff?

@jojo it varies by quite a bit.

get up and move around a bit, yes. most people can at least start to do this the day after. the bigger issue (for me anyway) is that car rides sucked ass for a few days. i forget if they didn’t want me in cars at all or just not me driving but there was some restriction there set by the surgeon.

might be different for different orchi/incision types too.

and also some people just recover quicker.

i definitely wouldn’t have felt like getting off the couch to watch a race after two days, i would have just been uncomfortable and miserable and exhausted. but someone else i know went out clubbing like two or three days after her orchi. and i also know people who were effectively bedridden for a full week or more.

@deirdre

Somehow in my mind I view my testicles as these pretty worse than nothing things and can't imagine them being gone being any sort of problem.
