I'm having some problems with my Tascam DP-006. Are there any experts on this old recording device who can point me to a possible cause for this behavior?

I can work around it using import/export, but I'd much prefer to solve the problem.

Your theory about the button for #4 not responding sounds on-target to me. I have a Panasonic shortwave radio from the 70s and while it still works, many of the buttons, most of them toggle switches, sound or act "dusty", as if the copper contacts inside the chassis are actually dusty and I have to move the switch quite a bit to shake off the dust. I think they predated sealed units.

I could open it up and use an air can but I worry I might make things worse. It works for now.

@DenOfEarth It would be a bummer if that was the cause though, because it is a soft button on a digital device, plus it is very hard to reach.

I am still hoping for someone to respond with "you set this option wrong, you absolute twit" because that would solve my issue more conveniently (and it wouldn't be the first time that happened to me).
