Not saying it’s great that there are 450/160 kids from two people. Just that I have zero clue on what the deal is.

But seriously, that is genuinely more than I think is a good idea. This borders on eugenics and all that insanity.
(I’m not against helping people get pregnant etc, though adoption is preferable. But this isn’t very smart to me.)

Plus the U.S. doesn’t check any of it, and it’s estimated that only 40% is reported at all. Yikes. So it’s a rule on a piece of paper nobody follows and nobody is meant to enforce. Crazy.
(I scrolled past to the U.S. and apparently Sweden has a max of 6, with a rule that you can get one sibling with a theoretical max of 12, but still a preferred max of 6 in total anyways. Plus everything is tracked etc. Feels more sensible.)

@ami_angelwings When you do the math it becomes inevitable pretty much. Plus we can track Y chromosomes (I never knew if you can track the X one the same way) which is interesting.
So silly stuff like “I found out I’m related to Charlemagne” is very silly. Because all of Europe is at this point.
What we don’t want is a Charles II of Spain situation.
