imagine if windows required you to wait 24hrs before you could install programs outside of the MS store.

your phone is a computer, and this is an anti-competitive move that has the intentional side effect of incentivizing consumers to install apps from google instead of other markets.

@vozercozer on the one hand, I at least sort of understand the restrictions in place, they probably would stop the vast majority of users from installing untrusted malware at the behest of some scammer

on the other hand, why would you need to sideload malware when it ends up on the Play Store anyways (pic related)? given that fact, clearly the restrictions aren't actually to stop scammers, but just to fuck with alternative app stores
