Blue Origin has asked the FCC for permission to launch a network of more than 50,000 satellites that will act as a data center in orbit. Project Sunrise will perform advanced computation in space to ease mounting pressure on terrestrial data centers by shifting energy and water-intensive computing away from Earth.
