Windows 11 is finally getting a movable taskbar
Windows 11 is finally getting a movable taskbar
My unstanding is that the Windows core team made this change as another step in their commitment to the Year of the Linux Desktop.
The moveable taskbar, specifically, eases the transition to Windows, since most Linux DE have had moveable taskbars forever.
I would tag this as sarcasm, but I’m not honestly 100% sure it’s not partly true.
You mean, the feature that literally every other OS has had since the 90’s? INCLUDING WINDOWS???
Money truly breeds complacency.
the feature that literally every other OS has had since the 90’s
Macos over here all shifty eyed.
Can they make it less large? It takes up like 25% of the screen (half sarcasm).
Fuck Microsoft.
It’s right there at the top:
Microsoft finally realizing that version numbers won’t get users to switch to 11, they actually have to give users what they want.
Meanwhile, XFCE lets me build as many panels as I want and configure them however I like.
You mean the thing that should’ve been there from the start? The thing that was possible since launch using Explorer Patcher or Windhawk?
Yeah, I’m still on Windows due to specific issues I could never solve with Linux (although I’m itching to try again). If I was not able to have top-side taskbar with small icons, never collapsing and left aligned (as it should be), I would rather put up with any issues Linux gave me than use Windows 11 with its defaults.
From the start… Get it? Start?
I’ll show myself out.
