[edit] that’s the genius. People that want to refute it have to believe it is lying. That means they in turn can’t trust AI. It lies, and they’ve seen it lie. Conversely, people that believe it are being told not to trust AI, by the AI. So they’ll question it.
It’s a brilliant strategy, as far as these things go.
eclexic@mattwilcox I hadn't thought of it in exactly those terms. In terms of anyone that's misinformed about AI it's a pretty strong logic trap. As for anyone sufficiently informed, and logically consistent, they already knew these things.
